Adverse credit mortgages
If you’ve had bad credit in the past it doesn’t mean you can’t be considered for a mortgage but it may mean that your options are more limited.

Some lenders stay clear of customers with a poor credit history whilst some will consider an application from someone with minor issues. We also have access to specialist lenders that offer products specifically designed for people with an adverse credit history.
It may be that you need to put down a greater deposit, or that you may be on a higher interest rate, but there are options available to get you back on track.

Self-employed mortgages
Mortgages are just as widely available to self-employed people as they are to the employed. But because it’s sometimes harder to provide evidence of a sustainable income, they are assessed in a different way.

Typically most lenders will look to assess sustainable income over a period of the last 2-3 years; others might consider just one year of accounts, depending on circumstances.

Mortgages for foreign nationals
If you do not have permanent rights to reside in the UK, depending on your nationality, visa status and circumstances, you may still be able to get a mortgage.
