Cowens make Strategic Appointment

Cowens Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Wilson as Managing Director of its General Insurance division. This significant move comes as Cowens continues to grow following the company’s 50th year milestone last year.

Mark (54) has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been an integral part of Cowens Group for more than 12 years. Mark was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2022 along with Karl Sutcliffe and Declan Shaw, as the company promoted from within.

Group CEO, Paul Chaplin, commented: “Mark’s extensive experience and commitment to Cowens makes him the perfect choice to spearhead our corporate, commercial and private clients insurance division services. As we continue to expand and evolve, Mark’s leadership will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy forward.”

Cowens employs over 70 people and has appointed Mark to the MD role as Paul Chaplin steps back from the day to day running of the business to concentrate on his clients and the strategic focus of the Group.

Mark, along with David Carroll, Managing Director of Cowens Financial Services division which also provides financial planning, mortgage solutions and employee benefits services, will focus on driving the group forward.
