A not-for-profit organisation “committed to improving the health of the construction industry workforce.” Includes information for construction workers, on various health topics including noise, respiration, skin, musculoskeletal problems, hand-arm vibrations and stress.

Of interest to petrol retailers, this website includes a downloadable “Code of Practice – Design, Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Stage II Vapour Recovery Systems”.
Fork Lift Truck Association
Includes numerous useful downloadable fact sheets on various aspects, relating to fork lift truck operating, maintenance, safety etc. also details (including website link) for the BITA and FLTA “Thorough Examination Scheme”.
Health and Safety Executive
Includes advice pages on numerous occupational health and safety topics plus downloadable free advice leaflets. Along with all of the other useful information on the HSE’s website there are their HELA circulars i.e. the circulars HSE issues to local authorities for enforcement purposes – useful because many of the circulars include much more detailed information than is often contained in their free “public” leaflets. Useful for the same reason is the “Internal Instructions and Guidance” part of the website which contains guidance for HSE inspectors and its specialist Directorates. HSE say that not all the material presented in this latter section of the website is completely up to date.

This website includes useful information on various hazards to health such as infectious diseases, chemicals and poisons, various types of radiation etc, also a 124 page downloadable leaflet entitled “Management of Spa Pools – Controlling the Risks of Infection”.
